The Birth of Deceit Movie Premiere & Red Carpet Event (New York Private Screening) - Regal Cinemas Atlas Park 8

We are proud to announce that our first feature film, The Birth of Deceit will be screening at the Regal Thearter on June 22, 2019. This film is a psychological thriller that will take the viewer on a mental roller coaster. Here is the synopsis; A girl returns to her hometown only to find that the fate of her parents wasn't what she originally thought it was. Ambar and her friends will have to fight for their lives to uncover the truth.This film is going to blow your socks off when you watch it, so make sure you don't wear socks! The official trailer will be out on March 2, 2019. For now check out the teaser trailer to get a better idea of the film.

2018/2019 5X5 Drama Series: The Astorian, Queens - The Astorian

The 5X5 Drama Series was founded in 2016 to bring great new plays beyond the footlights and into nontraditional spaces like breweries, rooftops, and taverns to provide an immersive and unique audience experience. The 90-minute program consists of 5 short plays performed by 5 casts and is performed in all 5 boroughs. Theatre East is an official partner of NYC Pride, and this year's 5X5 Drama Series will feature original, commissioned work celebrating the LGBTQ+ community as we remember the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Fulfilling one of our core beliefs to make theatre more accessible to all, 5X5 brings the stage directly to the people in the spaces where they gather, learn and relax.

Initially known for his enigmatic photographic endeavors, Moulène's more recent projects have investigated the intersections of advanced technology and contemporary material culture. In consideration of current advances in 3D modeling and fabrication, Moulène compares this moment in the history of object making to the advent of photography and its total transformation of human experience. While photography reproduced the world as an image, we are now about to print it in 3D.

Matt Keegan: what was & what is - Court Square Park

For over a decade, Matt Keegan has worked to synthesize his interest in language, whether rooted in pedagogy and cognition or the vernacular and social. He works in sculpture, photography, and video, and for his SculptureCenter commission he integrates these various ways of working. Installed in Long Island City’s Court Square Park, what was & what is distills real estate development’s rhetorical and visual devices in an object that speaks the language of urban development while prompting opportunity for reflection on the fastest-growing neighborhood in New York City.

Simone Fattal solo show - MoMA PS1

From March 31 to September 2, 2019, MoMA PS1 presents Works and Days the first solo museum exhibition in the United States of the work of Simone Fattal (Lebanese and American, b. 1942). Curated by Ruba Katrib, this retrospective brings together a selection of over 100 abstract and figurative ceramic sculptures, paintings and collages created over the last 40 years. Drawing from a range of sources including war narratives, landscape painting, ancient history, mythology, and Sufi poetry, these works explore the impact of displacement as well as the politics of archeology and excavation.
