Tio Pepe, the classic Mexican-Spanish restaurant in New York's Greenwich Village, is celebrating National Margarita Day all week long! From Tuesday, February 23 through Friday, February 26, come in to sample the latest addition to Tio Pepe's margarita menu. Created by the restaurant's tequila-loving manager, Tio Pepe's new Organic Margarita makes use of premium ingredients like Ixa Tequila and Himalayan salt. Usually priced at $8, as part of the National Margarita Day celebration, enjoy it for only $4 through Friday. (And if you want to try it at home, we've got the recipe below.)
Tio Pepe's Organic Margarita Recipe
Ingredients:
2 oz. Ixa Silver Tequila
2 oz. hand-pressed organic lime juice
¾ oz. agave nectar
Himalayan salt
Instructions:
- Combine tequila, lime juice, and agave with ice in a cocktail shaker; shake until exterior frosts.
- Strain into glass over ice.
- Rim glass with Himalayan salt.
- Serve immediately.
- Garnish with organic lime slice if desired.
