New York Scandia Symphony
New York Scandia Symphony continues its mission of presenting both well known and rarely heard music by significant Northern European classical composers. Scandia's 52 musicians, drawn from major NY orchestras, will play Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 5; Jean Sibelius' Finlandia; and Emil Hartmann's Violin Concerto, featuring guest violinist Stephanie Chase. Music director/conductor is Dorrit Matson.
