Afropunk x Lincoln Center presents Echoes of Freedom
As part of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook this tribute to the first African-American to publish a book of poetry, Phillis Wheatley Peters, will feature a two-part event with songs performed by multi-instrumental composer aden, collaborative recitations of Wheatley Peters' work by Lincoln Center's poet-in-residence Mahogany L. Browne, and a concert by Afrofuturist artist and Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter and composer, Theo Croker.
