Lights, Camera, All Aboard! for the New York TV and Movie Tour on the Water
Experience "Hollywood on the Hudson" while enjoying the majesty of New York Harbor and the financial district as you visit the locations used in your favorite TV shows and movies. All tours are led by New York City actors and actresses, courtesy of On Location Tours, who share behind-the-scenes scoops and industry-insider information.
The tour begins with a short walk through the South Street Seaport, where locations from classic films such as Wall Street, Godzilla, and Annie Hall can be seen. Then board New York Water Taxi and visit the Brooklyn and Manhattan waterfronts to see locations from The French Connection, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Working Girl, and many others. Sail past Ellis Island and revisit scenes from The Godfather Part II and X-Men. Float under the Brooklyn Bridge, which was used a location in Saturday Night Fever, Hudson Hawk, "CSI: NY," and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Then stroll through Battery Park and see locations from Superman Returns, Inside Man, and The Royal Tenenbaums.
The Tour is 2-1/2 hours long, and departs from the South Street Seaport at 4pm. Tickets: $40 for adults, $30 for children under 12 and seniors 65+. Advance purchase is required, as tours usually sell out. Tickets can be purchased online at www.nywatertaxi.com or www.screentours.com. Tours will resume again in May 2008.
