The Marias - The Mercury Lounge
July 20, 2019 - New York

Formed in Los Angeles in late 2016, The Marías are the psychedelic-soul lovechild of LA native, Josh Conway and Puerto Rican-bred, Atlanta-raised María. A smooth rendezvous of jazz percussion, hypnotic guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals and nostalgic horn solos, there's something undeniably sensual in the group's dreamlike fusion of jazz, psychedelia, funk and lounge. With María on lead vocals and Josh on drums, the couple is joined by their closest friends and fellow musicians. On guitar, Jesse Perlman, born and bred of LA, with 'tones that can melt steel,' say his bandmates. On bass, Canadian born and Berklee trained Carter Lee. On keys, Edward James. As they take to the stage, dressed like a dream from another era – it's clear why fans cheekily compare their sound to 'having sex in the 70s' or like 'pouring cream into coffee.' Watching them, you feel transported, taken over by a sultry tranquility as you drift into a timeless space. They recently released their first EP, titled 'Superclean Vol. I,' in the fall of 2017, and it'll be followed by 'Superclean Vol. II' in early 2018.

Michael Wood has subtly forged a drum style that showcases his rare ability to mashup funky hip-hop beats with frenzied rock riffs and only displays flashy technique when necessary while implementing the creative use of various sound-modulating drum triggers. At the heart of the band lies Tucker McClung's dominant slap-bass chops that captivates audiences and pumps the musical blood through the band.

Boulevards with special guests Herbivores - C'mon Everybody
July 20, 2019 - Brooklyn

21+ Jamil Rashad, a/k/a Boulevards, is the embodiment of funk. Taking queues from pioneers such as Prince, Rick James, and Earth Wind & Fire, Boulevards seamlessly delivers cheeky, party-themed jams that range from raw and risque to soulful. From an early age, Jamil's father, a R&B Radio DJ, exposed him to jazz, blues, and R&B. This pushed him to get involved in the city's local music scene early on in his youth. In his teens, he embraced the punk and metal scene in his hometown of Raleigh, NC; genres that would later go on to influence Rashad's songwriting by way of their tight technical precision and power. After an art school education and several stints in local bands, Jamil rediscovered and returned to his first true love: funk. Boulevards has shared the stage with artists such as Nile Rogers of CHIC, Rhye, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Mac DeMarco. He has also performed at top boutique festivals such as Montreal Jazz Fest, Pickathon, KABOO, and Hopscotch Music Festival. The Minks - The Mercury Lounge
July 21, 2019 - New Yor

Age Limit: 21 and Over Old Lady The Minks are Nashville's "psychedelic-bloos" band, heavy on the rock and roll. We're talking low-down, all the way, purse-lipped, eyes-shut, head-whirling kind of rock and roll. The band's palpable sound has roots in every music fan's top ten—from Lou to Patti to Creedence to Hank. Mixed with raw, jangly instrumentation and soulful saccharine vocals, it's as much a throwback as it is an answer to the often overlooked underbelly of Nashville's rock and roll scene. Henry Black was born in Medicine Lake, Montana before the turn of the last century.
