The Big Apple on Foot for Fitness Entusiasts
“Over the next few years our plan is to expand into other major cities, allowing fitness and running enthusiasts to enjoy their passion while traveling on business or pleasure,” said Michael Gazaleh, D.C., President & CEO of City Running Tours, a passionate runner and native New Yorker.
For individuals or groups, City Running Tours offers the opportunity to explore hidden New York City on foot with a trained guide and runner. For the business traveler who is tired of running on the hotel treadmill, the avid runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who just wants to explore new and interesting routes throughout the city, City Running Tours offers over 20 different guided running tours. They can be customized to fit any style, from those that focus on specific distances or speeds to specific landmarks or areas of the city or somewhere in between.
From the greenery of the parks, to views of the water, to the challenging inclines of the bridges, City Running Tours allows fitness enthusiasts and runners to get their run in as well as learn a little bit about the city they are running in. The tours occur any time of day or year, adapting to the changing seasons. Individuals can see the color of leaves change in Central Park in autumn or experience the smell of hot pretzels in the air in the winter in New York City.
Runs can be scheduled for any time of day. Price is $60 for the first 6 miles and $6/mile for each additional and group discounts are available. Gift certificates are available for holiday gifts. A socially responsible business, City Running Tours donates 10% of net proceeds to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
