Live at the Archway: Caique Vidal And Batuque / Trio Rasteirinho / Apolo Torres
Live at the Archway is an annual series of free concerts and interactive visual arts programming in the unique setting of the Dumbo Archway, one of the only covered outdoor spaces in New York City. Caique Vidal and Batuque bring their infectious energy and riveting dance grooves, delivering explosive performances that integrate the sounds of Afro-Brazilian percussion with keyboards, bass, guitar and horns, producing an innovative version of samba, reggae, salsa, bachata, pop, rock and Bossa Nova, to the stage at 6:30pm. Apolo Torres exhibits his art in GALLERY CUBED. Trio Rasteirinho, dedicated to redeeming the repertoire of original Brazilian instrumental music opens the evening at 5:30pm. The evening is presented in collaboration with Brasil Summerfest.
