In her former life as a classical singer, Kaye appeared in leading roles or as a soloist at New York City Opera, Carnegie Hall, Weill Hall and Opera Orchestra New York; appearances outside the city included The Tokyo Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Anchorage Opera, among others. Kaye's roles ran the gamut from Carmen (Carmen), Madama Butterfly (Suzuki) and Mahler's Symphony Nr. 2 (Alto Soloist), all the way to Oklahoma! (Ado Annie) and Noel Coward's Bitter Sweet (Manon). Frank Ponzio is a jazz pianist, composer, arranger and teacher. He has performed and collaborated with a variety of well-known artists, including Ben Vereen, David Amram, Phil Donahue, Jacques d'Amboise, Joe Beck, Nancy LaMott, Baby Jane Dexter, Bob McGrath of Sesame Street, Rosemary Loar, and Aisha Morris (Stevie Wonder's daughter). He performs solo concerts and leads his own bands at the legendary Birdland, the Metropolitan Room, The Museum of Modern Art, Trinity Church, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and Town Hall. As a music director, composer, and arranger, Frank has worked on numerous productions, including shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and the Paramount Theater at Madison Square Garden. Recent CD releases include A Song About Forever with The Kurt Weill Project, When Harry Met the Duke, featuring the vocalist Rosemary Loar, Mostly Jobim, featuring the vocalist Annie Kozuch and Christmas Christmas with bassist, Mark Peterson and drummer Matt Kane. He has created original scores for The Silver Swing, directed by Martha Parker, the feature film A Level Field, directed by Ken Haywood and Midnight to Midnight, by the sculptor, Roberta Berman. In television and radio, he has written music for several commercials including Dunkin' Donuts, Kmart, and Campbell's Soup and 100's of vocal and small band arrangements. He has worked as pianist and vocal coach for 3 years at the New School's Actors Studio with voice teacher Dr. Jan Prokop as well as the William Riley Vocal Studio, vocal coach to Teresa Stratas, Celine Dion and Faith Hill. Frank runs a private teaching and recording studio on the upper west side, NYC.
